Specifications

Every Standard Joinery unit is fully assembled aluminium joinery from the OMEGA® 300 Series Residential Suite, manufactured in New Zealand and designed for timber-framed housing and apartments up to three storeys.

NZ Building Code compliance

B1 Structure

Tested to NZS 4211:2008 and fabricated to the structural requirements of the specified Wind Zone. Glazed to NZS 4223.3:2016 where human impact may occur.

B2 Durability

Finished to provide at least 15 years' durability in all Exposure Zones (excluding industrial/geothermal microclimates) when installed and maintained per OMEGA® guidelines. IGUs comply with NZS 4223.2:2016.

C4 / D1 Escape & access

Doors can be used within escape and access routes where specified in project requirements.

E2 External moisture

Tested to NZS 4211:2008 for water penetration. Suitable for installation per E2/AS1 Third Edition, with sill support bars or blocks to suit the cladding.

E3 Internal moisture

Glazed with IGUs; no condensation collection channels required under E3/AS1 Paragraph 1.3.

F2 Hazardous materials

Safe when handled per installation instructions; glazed to NZS 4223.3:2016 where specified.

F4 Safety from falling

Can be fitted with opening restrictors to comply with F4/AS1 Paragraph 2.0 where required.

G4 Ventilation

Opening sashes help provide natural ventilation per G4/AS1 Paragraph 1.2.

G7 Natural light

Glazing area and VLT support natural light per G7/AS1 or G7/AS2.

H1 Energy efficiency

Double-glazed IGUs; R-values between R0.28 and R0.56 depending on unit type, size and IGU, per H1/AS1 or H1/VM1.
